Jill Klingner, Ph.D., R.N.

Dr. Klingner is an Assistant Professor of Health Care Management in the Labovitz School of Business and Economics on the Duluth Campus of the University of Minnesota, and an Investigator at the Upper Midwest Rural Health Research Center. Dr. Klingner's research interest areas include rural physician retention, rural pharmacy distribution, Medicare chronic care coverage, health outcomes research, access to supplemental insurance for disabled Medicare beneficiaries, quality of care, quality measurement development and implementation, and Critical Access Hospital (CAH) evaluation.

Dr. Klingner is a longtime member of the University of Minnesota's IRB. She is a Registered Nurse with a wide range of clinical experience from pediatric intensive care to refugee work in Thailand. Dr. Klingner continues to collaborate with operations and research staff at HealthPartners, a nationally recognized HMO, in quality review and analysis.
